WHO YOU ARE:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cash duties, delegate entity invoices, accounts payable, check printing, purchasing and reconciliations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepares daily cash entries to post to general ledger.
  • Oversees and manages the purchasing process.
  • Reviews delegated entity invoices for accuracy and provides general ledger coding.
  • Prepares and initiates bank deposits.
  • Timely and accurately reviews, codes and processes vendor invoices and check requests.
  • Researches and resolves accounts payable discrepancies.
  • Maintains assigned monthly schedules and reconciliations.
  • Prints claims checks.
  • Supports management in daily department requirements.
  • Collaborates with others to develop and implement new processes to enhance the workflow and support the overall department goals and objectives.
  • Assists in preparing audit requests.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of business information, including Protected Health Information (PHI), as required by HIPAA and company policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred, not required
  • Two years of experience in Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting or other related role is required
  • Knowledge of insurance industry experience is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This is a hybrid position requiring two days in the office
  • Normal office environment
  • May be subjected to fast-paced decision making, crisis situations
  • This is sedentary work that requires the following physical activities:
  • Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity
  • Occasional lifting (up to 60 pounds of computer equipment or paper supplies)


TRAVEL:

This position has less than 10% travel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
