ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

* Receive customer orders and order changes either directly from customers or from sales representatives and record, process and place orders timely and accurately.

* Build cost estimates involving routing, manufacturing, and pricing information

* Receive and respond promptly to customer complaints and questions and follow-up with appropriate internal personnel as required to improve customer service.

* Initiate the ordering of proper tooling and material for manufacturing with appropriate plant personnel.

* Work with Accounting for account questions or disputes from customers and coordinate accounting credits when necessary.

* Handle and resolve customer questions and/or problems in areas where customer service representatives need assistance.

* Assist sales personnel as appropriate and assist in generating supplemental sales.

* Track warehouse items to ensure availability and that agreed upon minimum/maximum levels are maintained; analyze monthly usages and re-stocking needs per customer.

* Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize work effectively and work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and a demanding customer base.

* Must be able to make appropriate decisions to satisfy customer needs and take appropriate steps to implement decisions with approval of management.

* Regular and predictable attendance

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of 2 years previous customer service experience. Packaging industry or manufacturing a plus

* High school diploma or GED.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Previous background in corrugated, paper, or similar manufacturing environments.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

* Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Experience working with databases such as Amtech

* Proficient Data Entry skills

* Strong organizational and analytical skills

* Basic math skills

* Detailed oriented.
