Location: Charlottesville, VA (hybrid schedule)

Duration: 1 year with potential to extend or convert

Main role is day-to-day management, patching, decommissioning as needed.

Technical requirements:

  • HP-UX experience is #1 priority
  • storage and server background needed (SAN brocade switches)
  • at least 4 years of experience
  • oracle experience
Candidate must have a wide range of skillset in order to support this environment:
  • HP-UX is still a mission-critical environment, hosting core production applications while at the same time they are migrating to RHEL/VMware on ProLiant servers, plus developing a new platform. The migration will not complete until a year or 2.
  • They are running HP-UX 11iv3. For some applications, they use Serviceguard, LVM mirroring, HPVM. Most database are on Oracle.
