About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant in Growth Branch Administration and Branch Strategy as part of Consumer and Small Business Banking.

This is a critical role as we optimize our branch operating model, strengthening operational excellence, and aligning with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) policy requirements. This role is responsible for managing processes related to branch operations and transaction management and will partner extensively with groups from technology, controls, issue management, marketing, legal, risk and compliance. For assigned processes, this includes strategy development, process performance and continuous improvement to gain efficiencies and strengthen controls in support of branch banking priorities. Process Owner designs and executes simple, innovative, and relevant solutions for assigned branch operations and transaction management processes to mitigate risk, empower our branch employees and satisfy our customers financial needs.

Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,900 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and more than 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. We serve and help individuals and families in many aspects of their lives, helping them buy homes, open first bank and savings accounts, buy cars to get to and from work or school, and start or grow small businesses. Growth and Branch Administration leads overall Branch Banking strategy development, market and branch distribution, administers management and operating routines, defines and manages staffing models, designs and manages branch banking processes, designs and administers incentive programs, defines and monitors P&L performance routines, provide coaching to District Manager and Branch Managers to support business growth strategies, oversees programs to support the customer branch experience and assesses business performance holistically across the teams supporting Branch Banking.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage multiple branch processes which requires complete understanding of the process scope, purpose, and activities.
  • Create and maintain all required process documentation for the BPM process inventory, RCSA, SRHP, and procedures. If a process changes, the process owner is accountable for updating all applicable documentation and communicating as appropriate to branch employees and partners.
  • Support audit discussion meetings, questionnaires, process walk throughs, supporting documentation, report/data collection, report/data analysis
  • Demonstrate how the process is performing using key metrics around throughput, time, quality, cost, and experience. If metrics don't exist, the process owner should champion the creation of data insights into the process.
  • Champion simplicity through process improvements related and focused on branch operations and teller
  • Provide process requirements to product teams and partner to ensure requirements prioritized appropriately in technology to meet branch needs
  • Ensure processes adhere to all appropriate policies and regulations. This includes identifying issues and building solutions to resolve.
  • Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate and consult with leaders and executive management
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in branch applications and branch operational processes
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing on logical process flows
  • Strong presentation skills - written and verbal, and the experience adapting both content and presentation style to multiple audiences; keen ability to tell the story and gain support needed
  • Proven success building and maintaining strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups, including executive management
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement to identify and resolve problems with a focus on actionable outcomes
  • Experience writing and editing content for branch communications, procedures, etc
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the proven ability to manage multiple processes and tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Job Expectations:
  • Travel up to 25%
