The Role:
The Escrow/Funding Manager will provide leadership and management of all accounting functions and financial reporting coordination with other Selene organizations. Manage and direct processes, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and proper controls on all operational accounting activities.
How you will contribute:
As the Funding Manager you will:
Provide oversight and manage:
Escrow, Operation and Recording accounts daily & monthly Reconciliations; UW reporting.
Inactive Account Reconciliations and Clean-up
Underwriter Remittance
Account Management oversee signers, access, approvals, transfers, etc.
Reporting provide monthly reports on outstanding checks, trial balances, underwriter payables, etc.
AP and AR Process & Verification
Setting up new vendors and controls with VMO
Financial Reporting and Analysis with FP&A Work with Title leaders on business level benchmarking and reporting
Support Regulatory

Reporting/Compliance:
Data Call Support Audit Support Underwriter, CPA, and Regulator Audits
Filing of State-required Quarterly and Annual Reports
1099-S Reporting
FinCen reporting
Unclaimed Property Reporting and Escheatment
Creates and troubleshoots reports using advanced functions of Excel
Finalizes monthly analyses of budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to be used in management reviews.
Works with accounting to review and analyze budget performance to include a review of actual and budgeted expenses
Prepares and reviews monthly revenue reports to examine and analyze trends
Creates presentations, summaries result of analyses and presents to senior management
Other tasks and projects as assigned
Skills you will bring:
Summary of skills and capabilities the incumbent will bring to the role. Qualifications desired for the Title Funding Manager are:
5-7 years experience accounting and operational oversight in a large, multi-state Title agent
3 years management experience
Bachelors in accounting or finance preferred
Familiarity with the Texas Minimum Escrow Accounting Procedures and Internal Controls
Thorough understanding of ALTA Escrow accounting best practices
Familiarity with National Title Underwriters and business practices
Hands-on experience in Title production software; SoftPro, ResWare, Rynoh and banking systems
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple levels internally and externally
Familiarity with audits and state regulatory data calls
Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and organize work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines / scheduling requirements
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong customer-service orientation
Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions, especially in critical situations or dilemmas
Very limited travel expected
Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
