Position Type: Student Support Services / Specialists/Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 7/10/2024 Location: Lincoln Akerman School, Hampton Falls S.D. Closing Date: 07/26/2024 The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, plans and provides direct services for students that have therapeutic intervention needs in grades Pre K- Gr 8. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Conduct Screening consistent with federal and state Child Find requirements. Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams for students suspected of having difficulties. Be able to evaluate and present written reports to parents at evaluation team meetings. Work with teams to develop Indivdual Educational Programs (IEPs), 504s and intervention plans for students who experience delays in their speech and/or language functioning. Provide direct services on an individual, small group or classroom basis to student identified with educational disabilities. Complete progress reports in a timely manner and according to district/school policy. Provide consultation and guidance to general education teachers, special education teachers and educational associates. Participate in the Medicaid to Schools Billing Program. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Speech and Language and be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the NH Office of Licensed Allied Health Professions; hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology; have experience with prompt training.
