Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Sentara Careplex Hospital. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patients with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills
  • Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Supervise and mentor students and new staff members
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • 1 year of experience in speech pathology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
