JOB TITLE : Director of Academic Programs DEPARTMENT : Career Services FLSA : Full-Time; Exempt DURATION : Open Until Filled POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Academic Programs will coordinate services and training activities to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished. In this role, you will supervise all training staff, ensure that supportive services are addressed, and assist in removing specific barriers to the employment of trainees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed, provided, and implemented for their staff. Supervise and monitor OIC, Inc.’s Education & Training activities at the OIC campus and satellite locations. Responsible for staff training and evaluation including planning and evaluating OIC training staff activities. Serve as liaison between other educational and community agencies. Summit-written monthly and quarterly reports to the funding agencies and the President and CEO on training statistics. Prioritize staying abreast of new and changing regulations concerning departmental contracts and grants by attending seminars and training sessions. Assist with the preparation and management of Educational Programs’ budgets. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: A degree in Education or Leadership from a four-year college or a combination of experience and training in management and supervisory will be considered. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Multi-tasked, good written and verbal communication skills; critical thinking, problem-solving. Ability to understand and be sensitive to the needs of the economically disadvantaged. Flexibility is required in the performance of this job.
