Job Overview

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Before and After School Program Staff member. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Provide a positive role model for children in the program and promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate, or six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or development.
  • Get ready to ace a background check, including fingerprinting, references, etc.
  • You've got the green light from your doctor - medically fit to rock all the job duties and free of any communicable diseases including TB.
  • You're warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills are your jam, whether it's with kiddos, parents, or fellow team members. Plus, you're professional, reliable, and always prompt.
  • You're ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and basically do whatever it takes to keep up with kids.
