Job Description: The Director of National Accounts has the primary responsibility of adding new customers to the company’s distribution supply chain. The Director will work towards strengthening business relationships and maximizing opportunities with existing as well as new pharmacies for the purposes of having these entities purchase products directly through Hercules. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identify and establish contact with potential customers, with support of the Business Development Coordination Team, to generate new customer accounts. Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers in person and virtually; responsible for creating relationships with new prospects, decision influencers, and decision-makers on a regular basis. Represent the company in client meetings and brief Senior Management team on progress. Lead the customer acquisition process from initial outreach, to opportunity discussions, all the way through to a successful on-boarding, and continual follow-up for portfolio expansion. Actively manage customer accounts and conduct regular analysis to understand purchasing habits and to ensure continuous account growth. Learn and understand entire product offerings and identify product recommendations for different types of customers. Understand the pharmaceutical industry and specific requirements of customers from each specialty type Attend industry trade shows and conferences to identify potential customer leads and to build productive contact with existing customers. Travel to attend face-to-face meetings with potential and existing customers. Keep a pulse on industry trends to identify opportunities for sales growth. Work diligently with the Business Development Coordination team to ensure all customer interactions are accurately recorded and kept up to date on a timely basis using our CRM software. Generate monthly sales and CRM reports to present to Senior and Executive Leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Development, Business Administration, Communications, and other relevant fields. MBA is preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years' experience with proven sales conversion record, preferably from the financial, technology, or biotechnology industries. Excellent communication skills and proven success growing a business. Ability to lead sales efforts and manage communication and collaboration with team. Must be self-motivated and self-directed, able to multi-task with excellent time management skills and decision-making capabilities. Excellent account management skills in relationship-building and networking. Must have outstanding verbal communication, visual presentation, & writing skills. Must be emphatic, an active listener, be persistent and have a positive disposition and a curious mind. Demonstrated experience with technology (i.e. sales portals, ERP systems, CRM systems, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) Excellent with Microsoft Excel to analyze data and manage accounts. Ability to learn quickly and absorb the industry. Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and keep well-detailed notes. Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-growing environment and adapt/embrace change. Willing to travel to different geographic areas within the U.S. up to 50% of the time.
