Description

Summary/Objective

The Post-Closing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the loan process after closing including receiving, shipping, insuring, and clearing investor suspense conditions.

Essential Duties

  1. Ensures all closing packages and collateral are received, uploaded, and shipped within stated Service Level Agreements ("SLAs")
  2. Ensures all insurance premiums are paid, and certificates received (on applicable loans files) within stated SLAs.
  3. Ensures MERS numbers are registered and transferred within stated SLAs.
  4. Ensures all assigned loans are purchased within stated SLAs by:
    • Documenting suspense conditions in the system of record
    • Working with Borrowers, Closing Agents, Branches, Underwriters, Closers, and other parties to clear suspense conditions.
    • Enter the Purchase Advice and clear the loan off the Warehouse Line
Competencies

Competencies include but are not limited to the following:
  1. Extensive knowledge of typical investor suspense conditions and the ability to quickly satisfy them.
  2. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone. Must communicate ideas in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail, including daily documentation of progress on the system of record.
  5. Extremely organized and able to quickly prioritize multiple tasks.


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and 2-3 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Preferred Education/Experience

Over 3 years in the mortgage industry.

Spanish speaker.
