Medical Assistant (Front Desk/ Office Manager)

Job Location: Atlanta, GA(On Site).
Job Schedule: Full Time Monday- Friday 7:45am- 4:30pm.
Start date: December 2024.
Job Type: Contractor; 12-week temporary position (maternity coverage).
Pay Rate: $65,000 per annum.

Full Description:
VitalCheck Wellness is looking for a Medical Assistant (Front Desk/ Office Manager) to work full time in a new outpatient clinic at a global wealth-management firm located in Atlanta, GA. This is a temporary position while our full-time MA is out on maternity leave, and there is opportunity for ongoing per diem coverage as well. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working with a new model wellness clinic where you will have the ability to be part of the process. VitalCheck Wellness is working with employers and local hospital systems to bring doctors to the workplace to offer higher-quality preventive care wellness checks. By providing primary care in the work place, we are able to make preventive care more convenient for the employee. With this model, employees can then be assisted in scheduling referrals and being provided follow-up care coordination.

Responsibilities:
  • Support physician, nurse, physical therapist, etc.
  • Prepare and break down examination rooms.
  • Receptionist and administrative duties.
  • Office management duties.
  • Referral management including calling insurance companies to confirm coverage.
  • Collect Copay.
  • Prep patient for Physician.
  • Vital signs. Perform/collect specimens accurately (phlebotomy, urine, etc).
  • Phlebotomy experience is required.
  • Front and back office duties.
Requirements:
  • Candidates without a medical background will not be considered.
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience as a medical receptionist or medical assistant with call and scheduling experience.
  • Medical office management preferred.
  • Preventive medicine oriented.
  • Phlebotomy experience is required
  • Desire to be part of the change in our current healthcare system.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot issues with minimal guidance where appropriate.
  • Must be highly proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including booster shot).
