The Chateau at Lake La Quinta is a chic boutique hotel with a gorgeous lakeside view, picturesque surroundings, and beautifully-appointed hotel rooms. Energetic and vibrant, with an intoxicating mix of attentive service and desert solitude, The Chateau is fresh from a $3.5 million renovation, offering an unforgettable resort experience.
**ROLE**
Prepare food to recipe specifications and to set up stations for menus. Line cook duties will also consist of assisting the Executive Chef and Kitchen Supervisor with their daily tasks.
Job Summary/Essential Functions
*Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:*
* Create and prepare food items and provide in a timely manner in accordance with established standards.
* Able to demonstrate above average knife skills
* Performs necessary tasks to prepare food orders and assist in maintaining kitchen in a clean and neat manner.
* Enjoys creating a culinary adventure for our guests.
* Follows sanitation standards for amazing guest service.
* Participates as an employee in producing a smoothly and efficiently run dining experience.
* Assists other employees with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.
Required Experience:
* At least 18 years of age.
* At least 1 year of experience in commercial kitchen cooking on cold or hot line.
* Great organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Multi-tasking skills.
* Enjoys a fast paced environment.
* Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner.
* Ability to work effectively with other department employees and guests.
Preferred:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
