The Process Engineer reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with Production Operators, Operations Manager, and other Process Engineers in an effort to meet plant quality goals and initiatives.Process Engineer (Quality) Job Responsibilities:Sole owner of the site 'Process Quality Management System'. Responsible to develop and maintain all aspects of this system ensuring quality of finished product produced and raw materials used.Develop and implement new processes to improve product quality and through quality tools, and procedures.Develop and lead 'Proactive Quality Control Plans' used in gap analysis and troubleshooting.Champion 'Root Cause Analysis (RCA)' for process quality at site and put 'Corrective Actions' in place for all process quality related issues arising from daily production and through customer issues.Analyze process data historian to troubleshoot and respond to product quality issues.Manage site non-conforming finished products and raw material, with re-testing as required.Standardize, train, and support Production Operators on quality work practices and procedures.Provide primary support for all chemistry/quality related manufacturing issues; act as liaison between R&D, Technical Service, Marketing & Sales, and Production.Point person at site for interacting with customers on issues with product performance.Conduct routine and non-routine QC auditing to ensure accuracy and repeatability of testingMaintain all lab supplies required for lab and production QC testingProcess Engineer (Quality) Job Requirements:B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.OR5+ years of Quality Engineering/Management experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility.On-call for Process Quality related production issues.Preferred:Experience working with continuous and batch processes; Paper, Tissue, Non-Woven, Coating, Engineered Wood/Panels, Printing, or Chemical processes a plus.Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt.Arclin is a leading provider of innovative bonding and surfacing solutions for the building and construction, engineered materials, agricultural and natural resource markets.
