We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities- Process Development and Implementation: Develop and implement process strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Manufacturing System Optimization: Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems, improve production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma: Support site initiatives for Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, driving productivity and quality improvements.
- Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and improve supplier vendor quality, including material reviews, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Technical Support and Leadership: Provide direction, leadership, and technical support for operations, including training program initiatives and root cause investigation and analysis.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Experience: Minimum of one to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or related industry.
- Skills: Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), CAD/CAM software, Synchronous Manufacturing, and Kaizen process improvement techniques.
- Indoor Manufacturing Environment: Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery, wear required Personal Protective Equipment, and have visual acuity to detect flaws in parts being inspected.
