Job Summary Responsible for facilitating cross-functional teams engaged in location-specific continuous improvement activities using enterprisewide standard methods for value creation and waste elimination in accordance with industry standard strategic deployments of Lean and Six Sigma. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing methodologies for waste reduction, 5S, Standard Work, TAKT, Pull System, single piece flow, Value Stream Mapping, cell design, and manufacturing flow. Demonstrates an extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership. Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment. Coordinate layout and work station move activities. Prepares time estimates for proposed projects and evaluates time factors. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required enabling an effective interface with other departments and/or professionals, and capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact, as well as providing leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals. Other duties as assigned Preferred Skills Green belt certification in six sigma methodologies strongly encouraged. Experience in fast paced, high volume environments including multi-site operating experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of engineering processes including engineering change control, engineering labor standards and methodologies, six sigma and best practices. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required Skills in the use of Autocad, Arena, Promodel, Flexsim or other simulation.
