Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and delivery of our program's network architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test software applications and systems that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to integrate new emerging industry technologies with our systems.
  • Implement engineering changes to the system as required.
  • Review, analyze, and incorporate technical requirements into end-to-end system architectures.
  • Work closely with internal business partners to gather requirements and architect complex solutions.
  • Develop and maintain software products from all phases of the software lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 or more years of experience in software engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of network engineer software tools and coding languages.
  • Experience in Systems programming, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS.
  • Development experience with C/C++ or other OOP languages.
  • Experience developing and debugging software in a Linux and Windows environment.
  • Experience with configuration management using industry standard tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite, plugins, Git, and Confluence.
  • Active certification at DOD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g. Security+) or greater.
  • Clearance: Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 7 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python).
  • Experience with Firewall, VPN, switch, and router configuration.

  • A competitive salary range of $75,300 - $112,900.
  • A discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
