The St. James FC (formerly FC Virginia) has a rich history of developing not only some of the most competitive teams nationally but have a tremendous track record of success in developing high level footballs who have gone on the compete at the top levels collegiately, professionally and internationally.TSJFC competes nationally as members of the Girls Academy League.

The Girls Academy Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of our Girls Academy program as well as providing the developmental pathway for all girls players and teams throughout our player development pyramid.The Girls Academy Director duties include but are not limited to:

  • Complete oversight of the Girls Academy program including
    • Staffing and Staff Management
    • Budgeting
    • Curriculum and technical program management
  • Serve as the club representative to The Girls Academy and Mid-Atlantic Conference
    • Attend all league required meetings
    • Representing the club in conjunction with the Technical Director on league initiatives
  • Oversight on Player Development
    • Management of PDI's & KPI's working in conjunction with GA Coaching Staff
    • Maintain all match film to Girls Academy standards
    • Schedule regular meetings with Staff and Players to provide consistent progress feedback
    • Manage the College Placement process as well as player and parent education around the recruitment process in conjunction with GA Staff
    • Provide regular feedback and communication with member parents/ guardians as to player progress
  • Manage Match Schedules and Match Day Experience
    • Manage Home match experience standards consistent with Girls Academy framework
    • Manage club scheduling for all league matches, tournaments and showcases including mandatory Girls Academy events
    • Manage team/ coach travel arrangements
  • Manage staff scheduling and development
    • Hold weekly staff meetings
    • Ensure coach coverage for training and matches
    • Hold quarterly staff assessments
    • Support continued coach education for GA Staff
Candidate should:
  • Hold a USSF A License or International Equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in Technical Leadership role (TD/ DOC/ Academy Director, etc)
  • Minimum of 5 years coaching in a national competitive league/ platform
  • Have a track record of success in college placement
  • Be customer service driven and oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Fulfill all duties as required by The St. James FC Technical Director
