JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Manage small to mid-size projects, client and contractor agreements and budgets Develop client relationships in support of business development to secure new project opportunities Write and prepare technical engineering reports, plans and specifications for projects Consult with clients to plan and develop strategies for their civil engineering design and support needs Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects Evaluate designs to determine project feasibility, estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, and labor requirements Assist with construction inspection of project sites to monitor progress and ensure design specifications are met Engineering design for site-civil infrastructure elements Mentor less experienced engineers as needed Engage with public agencies to provide support, permitting, and approval of project needs. Read and interpret construction plans to assist with client management and effectively communicate to answer inquiries from colleagues, clients, contractors, or the public. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field Professional Engineering Registration (PE) for the state of ND (or ability to obtain registration for ND) 8+ years of successful design and consulting experience within Civil Engineering You have strong technical skills and experience using Autodesk Civil 3D, XP-SWMM, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD and other related programs. You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills. Ability to advocate for Civil Engineering field and enjoy sharing knowledge, giving presentations, and encouraging students to explore it as a career.
