POSITION PURPOSE

The Association Director of Funded Out of School Time (OST) will lead the brand and manage the operations and relationships related to the Funded Out of School Time contracts. This includes stakeholder management, program implementation and quality service delivery. OST services include before school, afterschool, summer programs and holiday care for elementary, middle and high school students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Meet or exceed all requirements as outlined in the grant SOPs
  • Project Manage rollouts, assessments and related activities involving Funded OST
  • Support quality enhancement and consistent service delivery across the Association (to include external accreditation entities)
  • Partner with field staff and AO staff to solve problems and achieve objectives
  • Identify and support compliance/commitment to best practices
  • Manage the implementation and compliance of all external and internal requirements, policies and procedures as well as all relationships with external accreditation entities including but not limited to OCDEL, PHMC and YMCA of the USA
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI.
  • Act as subject matter expert of Association policies and procedures, risk management, safety practices and applicable laws relating to OST.
  • Lead by example at all times. Interact with a high level of professionalism and accountability.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
  • Develop and implement budget as needed.
  • Support the operations team with achieving or exceeding enrollment targets, providing coaching and managing performance for sites that are not able to meet expected enrollment goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Read and be accountable for YMCA, state licensing standards, policies and procedures.
  • Supervise by being able to identify, KNOW, SEE, RESPOND to ensure the safety of each child in your direct care at all times. Adhere to small group/ratio established by DHS and funding guidelines.
  • Assist in the supervision and planning of OST activities; ensuring program design is inclusive for all children and encourages participation.
  • Interpret and maintain safety and health policies and procedures; review and understand your roles responsibilities in emergency procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate behavior of children and staff to avoid risk of accidents; maintain awareness of camper well-being
  • Supervise the creation and maintenance of effective communication with parents/guardians regarding OST activities.
  • Embody the GPY commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Participate in staff training, meetings and conferences as required.
ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in management or a relevant field, (master's degree in related field preferred) with 5-10 years of related experience
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence
