In this role, you have the opportunity to use your critical thinking skills and direct service experience to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across San Diego. The Employment Case Aide plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by ensuring all resettlement services to target populations are completed in an efficient and timely manner.This position reports directly to the Employment Program Manager and works closely with the Employment Team and the rest of the Refugee Resettlement team.Responsibilities:Implements Refugee Employment programs following program guidelines and ensuring compliance of service throughout program activities Provides support to case manager by assisting with coordination of services per family based on family needs, transportation to appointments and additional follow ups as neededProvides culturally competent case management to ensure highest level of culturally appropriate service to diverse client population Participates in ongoing trainings and HIAS cohort meetings as assignedConducts home visits to deliver relevant client documents, check on family status and provide transportation to appointmentsActs as a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude, flexibility in a busy office environment, and possess quick critical thinking ability to identify creative solutions to complex challengesOther duties as assignedSkills/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:Familiarity with social service delivery and underlying philosophies or willingness to learnExperience working or volunteering with individuals with diverse cultural and linguistic backgroundsBasic typing and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookValid California Driver's license, good driving record and a reliable vehicleSkills/Abilities We'd Like You to Have:High School or GEDSecond language skills: Arabic, Swahili, Dari, Pashto, French, KinyarwandaImportant Notice:Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
