FREE COVID VACCINES FOR ALL STAFF Riveridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center has an open housekeeper/Laundry position A housekeeper will clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, storage, work rooms, therapy, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, clean toilets, sinks, showers, dust, empty trash & disinfect General Responsibilities include: Dust ceiling vents, lights, & other areas regularly Disposes of trash and waste, other materials in a safe manner Complete carpet cleaning as scheduled Clean vacant rooms immediately after discharge Assist in room transfers Attend facility in-services and training Assure personal & staff compliance to all State & Federal regulations including blood born pathogen control, use of hazardous materials & fire safety May be required to perform light maintenance, including changing light bulbs, checking call lights Other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma/GED preferred Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral form) in a care setting with residents, families, staff Must be able to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach and carry, stand for extended periods of time and may be required to move furniture Able to respond productively and to handle additional tasks/projects as assigned Ability to detect odors and see spots and spills Ability to move housekeeping cart with cleaning equipment Passion for caring for elderly EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER The Facility is an equal opportunity employer.
