Housekeeping Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry to join our team at Frontier Management (OR). As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our resident rooms, common areas, and facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and dispose of them in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Complete carpet cleaning and other deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
  • Assist with room transfers and ensure that resident rooms are cleaned and prepared for new residents.
  • Attend facility in-services and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulations.
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations, including blood-borne pathogen control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and checking call lights.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff in a care setting.
  • Ability to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach, and carry, as well as stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move furniture and housekeeping carts with cleaning equipment.
  • Passion for caring for elderly individuals.
  • Ability to detect odors and see spots and spills.
