job summary:
Our client has an immediate contract opening for a Security Engineer with NITS as well as experience with ServiceNow in an enterprise global environment.

Candidate should be very experienced with CMBD as well as architecting solutions and operational deliverables.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the security posture of our organization through the implementation of robust security measures, adherence to industry standards, and effective management of our CMDB infrastructure

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

NIST Compliance:

Implement and maintain security controls in alignment with NIST guidelines (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).

Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with NIST standards.

Continuously monitor and evaluate security processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Service Now Platform:

Utilize Service Now platform for incident management, change management, and configuration management processes.

Configure and customize Service Now modules to meet the specific security requirements of the organization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security processes seamlessly into Service Now workflows.

CMDB Management:

Oversee the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory of all assets and configurations.

Develop and maintain CMDB policies, standards, and procedures.

Implement automation solutions for CMDB population and reconciliation.

Security Tool Management:

Manage and maintain security tools and systems to enhance the organization's security posture.

Conduct regular evaluations of security tools and recommend updates or replacements as necessary.

Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues and optimize tool performance.

Incident Response and Risk Management:

Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

Monitor security alerts and events, and respond promptly to potential security incidents.

Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) preferred.

Proven experience working with NIST guidelines and frameworks.

Proficiency in Service Now platform, including configuration and customization.

Experience with CMDB management and automation.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work across teams and departments.
