Job Description

Our client, a thriving financial technology and services firm, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Vulnerability Remediation Analyst to assess Vulnerability Threats using the company's EDR (CrowdStrike) and SIEM (SecureWorks Taegis XDR) tools. The analyst will deploy necessary patches across the infrastructure to address the vulnerability findings and stay updated by monitoring CISA, MITRE, FFIEC, and other threat intelligence sources for critical infrastructure supporting the company and its clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Remediate vulnerabilities through monthly OS patching on 1,000 servers, primarily Windows with some Linux RedHat. Schedule changes for items outside standard OS patching.
  • Track, schedule, and address vulnerabilities from various reports or OS, Database, and Middleware.
  • Utilize company tools (EDR, SIEM, GFI Languard Patch Manager) to identify existing vulnerabilities and set targets for remediation. Tools used include CrowdStrike for EDR, SecureWorks for XDR, and Microsoft InTune for workstation software checks.
  • Update Change Management Database (CMDB) and compare to Baseline for anomalies.
  • Patching and Vulnerability Management encompass technologies such as Operating Systems (Windows and Linux RedHat), Citrix Virtual App, Director, StoreFront, & NetScalers, Adobe, Chrome, Microsoft Office, Java, IBM Connect:Direct, Microsoft BizTalk, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM WebSphere MQ, Automize, and VMWare.
  • Review and report on hardware patching status in the data center (ESX, Firewalls, etc).
  • Collaborate with infrastructure security team to establish patching cadences for each component type and virtual environments. Monitor vulnerabilities and escalate per policy.
  • Schedule meetings with various support teams to review vulnerabilities and remediation strategy.
  • Manage End of Life (EOL) tracking, reporting, and remediation planning.
  • Track SSL certificates and install new ones.
  • Participate in weekly working group status calls with infosec and infrastructure teams as needed. Attend daily infrastructure meetings in EST afternoons.
  • Provide on-call support on some weeknights and weekends for implementation checkout or triage.

Requirements:

  • Computer Science BS/Engineering degree.
  • 5-7 years' Cybersecurity threat detection and remediation experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in financially regulated environments (SEC, OCC, Federal Reserve, FINRA, SOC 1 and SOC 2, etc) is advantageous.
