This requires a seasoned, professional inside salesperson to target national, regional, and local construction equipment rental companies in the Southeast US to re-rent USM's fleet. The Territory Manager will work closely with a Rental Coordinator, the Fleet Service Team, and the Sales Manager. Role & Responsibilities Lead a team managing assigned sales territories to maintain existing rental business levels, develop new rental business for products and services, and provide for annual sales growth and maximization of our rental asset’s utilization. Source and build relationships with new rental customers Further develop and strengthen existing relationships with rental customers Grow the Southeast Territory's monthly rental revenue by driving wholesale re-rental business Educate customers on specialized equipment uses, applications, operation, and USM rental and contract process Consistently maintain records of sales activity in company CRM (Pipedrive) Foster a collaborative work environment by communicating frequently, effectively, and respectfully with rental coordinators, fleet service specialists, equipment repair technicians, and the sales team High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) 3 years’ verifiable inside sales experience - preferably with aerial work platforms, telehandler forklifts, and/or general rental equipment. All related equipment experience will be considered. Proven abilities to manage difficult customer situations; solicit customer feedback to improve service; and meet or exceed commitments and the customer’s expectations. Polished ability to keep a focus on solving conflict; to keep emotions under control; to remain open to others' ideas and be willing to compromise to affect the best outcome. Demonstrated skills at speaking clearly, persuasively, and respectfully in all situations; at listening to others without interrupting; obtaining clarification; responding well to questions; group presentation skills. Effectively able to balance team and individual interests; to contribute to a positive team spirit; build group commitment to goals and objectives; to support everyone’s efforts to succeed. Proven skills at setting & achieving challenging goals; demonstrating persistence and overcoming obstacles; and moving ahead with positive actions even in the face of ambiguity. Strong knowledge of the sales process as well as possess a keen attention to detail Experience working in MS Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word), CRM software, and Zoom USM has an In-Office work culture and is located in Elmhurst, IL.
