Oracle Data Warehouse Architect - OCI Expert (2-Year+ Consulting Assignment)

We seek a seasoned Oracle Data Warehouse Architect with expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and a specialization in Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW). Join us for an exciting 2-year+ consulting assignment where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data ecosystem.

Work EnvironmentBe willing and able to work out of the Caltrans Sacramento, CA office 2-3 days per week.Be willing and able to work 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. PT.Key Responsibilities

Performs data warehouse administration for the Enterprise Data Warehouse in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse EnvironmentReviews existing architecture and provides solution recommendations where applicable.Develops, tests, and implements scripts/jobs for data Extract Transform and Load (ETL) from data source(s) to target(s) in the data warehouse using ODIVisualizes and designs the enterprise data management framework: specifies processes used to plan, acquire, maintain, use, archive, retrieve, control, and purge dataDevelops physical data model and/or works with data modeller to develop a physical data modelDevelops Testing Approach, Plan, Scripts and Documentation of ResultsDevelops and maintains a data catalog for the enterprise data warehouseDevelops and maintains a data dictionary for the enterprise data warehouseDevelops Requirements SpecificationsDevelops Design SpecificationsEvaluates and monitors databases to resolve performance issuesMonitors the EDW and responds to incidentsProvides documentation to support the Kimball Dimensional Data Modeling FrameworkMentors and educates team members on best practices and industry standardsArchitectural Leadership

Design and implement cutting-edge data warehouse solutions leveraging Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse on OCI.Lead the development of scalable and efficient data models, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data architecture strategies aligned with business objectives.OCI Expertise

Harness the power of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to create robust and scalable data warehouse solutions.Utilize OCI services for data integration, storage, and processing, ensuring seamless and secure operations.Stay abreast of OCI advancements and incorporate emerging technologies into the data warehouse architecture.Autonomous Data Warehouse Mastery

Drive the implementation and optimization of Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse features, ensuring maximum automation and efficiency.Fine-tune performance parameters, monitor resource utilization and implement proactive measures for continuous improvement.Collaborative Problem Solving

Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver innovative solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, providing expertise and guidance to ensure the stability and reliability of the data warehouse.Best Practices and Standards

Establish and enforce data warehouse best practices, standards, and guidelines to maintain high data quality and integrity.Conduct regular assessments of the data architecture to identify areas for improvement and optimization.Qualifications

Proven experience as an Oracle Data Warehouse Architect focusing on OCI and Autonomous Data Warehouse.In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services related to data management and analytics.Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and data modelling.Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting in a data warehouse environment.Develops, tests, and implements scripts/jobs for data Extract Transform and Load (ETL) from data source(s) to target(s) in the data warehouse using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.Mandatory

- Staff resource must have a minimum of seven (7) years I of verifiable experience in database design and warehouse architecture supportive of key duties/responsibilities identified above.Certifications that are a plus
