Job Description:

The JAAW Group seeks a highly skilled and experienced Software Test Engineer with expertise in AWS Gov Cloud and DevSecOps pipeline testing. As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of our software systems deployed in the AWS Gov Cloud environment. Your expertise in testing methodologies, AWS Gov Cloud regulations, and DevSecOps practices will contribute to the delivery of robust and secure software solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and security specialists, to understand software requirements and translate them into effective test strategies. - Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications deployed in the AWS Gov Cloud environment. - Perform functional, non-functional, and security testing of software systems to identify defects, vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks. - Utilize AWS Gov Cloud services, tools, and guidelines to conduct software testing in compliance with government regulations and security standards. - Develop and implement automated testing frameworks, scripts, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process. - Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing activities seamlessly into the software development lifecycle, utilizing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Work closely with developers to isolate, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues, including root cause analysis. - Monitor test results, track metrics, and generate reports to provide stakeholders with accurate and meaningful insights into software quality. - Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies, processes, and tools, incorporating DevSecOps practices to ensure security, reliability, and scalability. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to AWS Gov Cloud, software testing, and DevSecOps. - Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure third-party integrations and solutions comply with testing requirements. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior test engineers, fostering their growth and development in testing best practices and AWS Gov Cloud testing regulations.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience as a Software Test Engineer, specifically with experience in testing software deployed in the AWS Gov Cloud environment. - Strong understanding of testing methodologies, standards, and practices, including test planning, test case design, and test execution. - Hands-on experience with AWS Gov Cloud services and tools, ensuring compliance with government regulations (FedRAMP, ITAR, etc.) and security best practices. - Familiarity with DevSecOps principles, practices, and tools for integrating security into the software development lifecycle. - Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or comparable tools. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for scripting and test automation. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). - Solid understanding of security testing practices, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within multidisciplinary teams and communicate test findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) may be required for certain positions.
