If so, then we want to talk to you about our client’s opportunity as a Pricing Analyst In this crucial role, you'll be an integral part of our client’s organization, playing a key role in the quoting process.
As a Pricing Analyst , you'll wear many hats. You'll be responsible for administering and coordinating the preparation of spot quotes for customers across all product lines and markets. You’ll be a master of our client’s processes and systems, using them to upload and track quote results while working directly with the account managers.
Collaboration is key You'll work closely with the Pricing Manager to develop and implement changes for all aspects of pricing including metal premiums, fabrication prices, freight, and economic order quantities. Additionally, you'll be the bridge between departments, collaborating with Accounting and Credit to help reconcile any invoicing issues.
Here's a closer look at what a typical day as a Pricing Analyst might entail:
Providing analysis and recommendations for customer pricing quotations using established methodology and systems. As a Pricing Analyst, you'll be a data whiz, using your skills to find the best pricing options for our customers.
Tracking fulfillment rates for quotations and reporting RFQ results, working directly with account managers and leadership. Your keen eye for detail will ensure everything runs smoothly.
Distributing customer metal prices at month-end and sharing customer pricing summaries to ensure accurate payment. You'll be the go-to person for all things pricing data.
Maintaining and updating existing price memos in the Price Management System monthly. Keeping their systems organized is essential
Assisting in the on-boarding of new customers and validating pricing is established for them. You'll help ensure a smooth transition for our new partners.
Providing ad hoc reporting for groups both internal/external to sales and market departments. Your data analysis skills will be put to good use there
Working with internal groups to conduct pricing reviews and resolve any potential billing or invoicing discrepancies. You'll be the problem solver for any pricing issues.
Seeking out and acting on opportunities to continuously improve pricing related processes and tool sets. Innovation is key to their success, and you'll be at the forefront of it
Performing other duties and special assignments as requested. You're a team player, after all
To Be Successful As a Pricing Analyst, You'll Need
An Associate's degree in Data Analytics, Marketing or Accounting; bachelor's degree preferred.
Prior experience in pricing is a plus.
High proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other data analysis and mining tools.
Excellent analytical skills.
You're self-motivated, independent, but also a great team player.
