Are you a motivated and high-achieving accounting professional looking to support a rapidly growing company? We're seeking an energized Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. Our client specializes in acquiring hyper-niche software companies that provide mission-critical solutions for business customers, and we are expanding quickly through both acquisitions and organic growth.Benefits and Perks of the Accounting Manager Role:- Comprehensive benefits package and unlimited PTO- Opportunity to earn semi-annual equity grants for top performers- Fully remote position (ideal for candidates in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or surrounding areas) with the option to work from a physical office in San Antonio- Periodic travel to San Antonio for meetings and team events (if not local)Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:- Manage accounting operations across multiple entities- Oversee the monthly accounting close process and prepare financial statements- Review journal entries prepared by staff- Implement ASC 606 standards and maintain expertise in software revenue recognition practices- Utilize NetSuite across various legal entities and currencies- Liaise with auditors and support the annual financial statement audit process- Conduct financial analyses and provide ad hoc reporting as needed- Mentor junior accountants and delegate responsibilities effectively- Ensure timely and accurate completion of the annual PCAOB audit- Design and implement internal controls and accounting policies- Adapt to evolving processes within the portfolioQualifications & Experience Needed for the Accounting Manager:- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field- 5+ years of accounting experience and 2+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager (Senior/Manager experience in public accounting considered)- Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting standards- Proficiency in NetSuite- Experience with Maxio/SaasOptics (preferred)- Familiarity with foreign subsidiaries (preferred)- Experience managing relationships with external auditors- High attention to detail, sense of urgency, and excellent communication skillsHighly Preferred:- Big4 industry mix experience- CPA certification- Experience in SaaS/Tech/Start-Up/High Growth/PE backed/Pre-IPO industries- Experience with ASC 606 at a SaaS companyJoin our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional accounting services in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
