Job Description

The Accounts Payable Lead oversees the accounts payable workflow, ensuring meticulous execution and adherence to financial protocols.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process and enter invoices into accounting system for payment including PO matching, vouching, and coding for multiple entities
  • Generate payments for manual check and electronic disbursements for multiple entities and currencies
  • Create and submit vendor change forms
  • Maintain vendor relationships by resolving discrepancies and answering inquiries
  • Audit and pay employee expense reports
  • Monitor Concur to GL integration reports and work with IT to resolve integration errors
  • Coordinate with the General Ledger Corporate Accounting team to ensure timely and effective support for the month end, quarter end, and year-end close processes.
  • Responsible for timely completion of the annual 1099's including knowledge of vendor setup and processing for 1099 accuracy and mailing per government regulations
  • Work with both external and internal auditors to complete financial and SOX audits
  • Design accounts payable process improvements in collaboration with management
  • Special projects and other duties as needed

Required Skills:

  • Perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle and Concur experience preferred
  • Effective communication verbal and written
  • Ability to perform job duties independently with minimal daily supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Interact effectively and professionally with employees and vendors
  • Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company

Education, Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years Accounts Payable experience
  • Minimum Associate's degree preferred
  • Experience working in an environment with SOX controls and auditors
  • Oracle Fusion and Concur Expense experience preferred
  • Experience with foreign currency payments and foreign currency translations a plus
  • Must be dependable
