As our Customer Experience Director you will:
- Establish best practices for informational and navigational design solutions including sitemaps strategies, navigational models, wireframes, storyboards and use case scenarios that advance the companys business objectives
- Collaborate with visual design and creative teams to ensure user experience vision has been translated into site design and content
- Develop documentation standards for interaction specifications, naming conventions and other specifications required for project implementation
- Develop and provide strategic roadmap for onsite Usability Lab
- Collaborate with marketing to recommend user research including utilizing predefined customer personas to create task scenarios and usability test plans
- Working closely with product manager with regards to new product development and existing product enhancements including site assessment, competitive analysis, documentation of user experience requirements, interaction specifications and build specifications
- Establish best practices for using high-fidelity prototypes for development
- Collaborate with web development team to ensure that the sites function according to the documented specifications and follows the user experience vision
- Understand how user experience expectations and technologies are evolving and propose appropriate innovations and adjustments to strategies and best practices
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
* Knowledge of principles and best practices of information architecture, interaction design and internet usability including: heuristic evaluations, wireframe development, page layouts and site flows
* Demonstrated ability to document designs, scenarios, workflows, site architectures, interaction notes, and page template/wireframe formats
* Thorough knowledge of current web and user interface standards
* Familiarity with accessibility and Section 508 standards
* Strong creative and graphics skills, including sense of layout, color and use of space
* Knowledge of the opportunities and limitations of web based application development, while staying abreast of shifts in industry standards and customer expectations
* Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, XML and XSLT and the capabilities of Web browsers across multiple platforms and technologies
* Excellent analytical skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external constituents, many of which have no knowledge of user experience or information architecture
* Extremely detail oriented, highly organized and focused
***Education***
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Human Factors, Cognitive, or Experimental Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
***Experience***
* Minimum years experience as an information architect, interaction designer, or experience designer (or similar role)
* Significant experience with user-centered design processes and techniques; knowledge of user experience and human computer interaction theories and methodologies
* Experience observing user research and translating user research into design experience
* Experience with the following: Visio, Word, Illustrator, Photoshop and various HTML editors
