COBOL Developer

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated COBOL Developer for an opportunity in Remote

Position Title: COBOL Developer

Location: Remote

Anticipated Start Date: 09/09/2024.

Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 6 Months Contract with Strong Possibility of Extension.

Job Type: [Contract (40 hours weekly)], [Remote]

Pay Range: $40/hr - $42/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

  • Client has an immediate need for a Mainframe programmer to support a payroll application.
  • Strong experience with COBOL in a mainframe environment is required.
  • Experience with IDMS is also required.
  • Exposure to the AGILE methodology is a plus.
  • The candidate will be part of the Programming Team with responsibility of coding and unit testing software requirement changes.
