The Center Coordinator has technical and administrative supervision over the Center staff; works in tandem with other program coordinators and specialists; and is a member of the Head Start/Early Head Start Management Team. The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience. Candidates must have: A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, is required, a master's degree is preferred three years of experience in curriculum planning and the instruction of pre-school children. Three years of experience in an administrative function with direct supervisory responsibilities is preferred. Experience in working with disadvantaged and low-income families is desirable. A physical exam, clear tuberculosis screen, Hepatitis A vaccination and background check are required.
