Responsibilities

•Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
•Provide comprehensive tax planning services for small businesses, identifying opportunities for tax savings and advising on financial strategies to optimize tax outcomes.
•Conduct thorough reviews of financial records, reports, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
•Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate their impact to clients and team members.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and support on various tax-related matters.
•Assist in the resolution of tax issues and disputes with tax authorities, representing clients as needed.
•Collaborate with other team members to deliver integrated and holistic financial solutions to clients.
•Forecast revenue and analyze our profit margin to better determine our effectiveness
•Play a key role in strategic planning and organizational budget
•Conduct internal auditing
•Communicate with tax accountants to keep track of payments and returns
•Offer suggestions to improve the company's current financial status

Qualifications

•Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, preferably with a focus on small businesses.
•In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
•Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
•Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
•Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
•Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required, preference to candidates with an MBA
