As the Commissioning and Testing Field Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful commissioning, testing, and validation of all systems within the subway infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the completed project. Job Description Responsibilities: Commissioning Planning: * Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans for various subsystems, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Testing and Validation: * Conduct thorough testing and validation of subway systems and equipment to ensure functionality, safety, and adherence to design and operational standards. * Collaborate with design and construction teams to address and resolve any issues identified during testing. * Assisting with the setup and calibration of equipment. Field Coordination: * Work closely with on-site construction teams to coordinate commissioning activities and ensure timely execution. * Provide technical guidance and support during the installation and integration of systems. * Conducting routine inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly. Documentation: * Maintain detailed records of commissioning and testing activities, including test procedures, results, and any modifications made during the process. * Generate comprehensive reports summarizing commissioning progress and identifying areas for improvement. Troubleshooting: * Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during commissioning and testing, collaborating with relevant teams to implement effective solutions. * Conduct root cause analysis for any discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Safety Compliance: * Ensure that all commissioning and testing activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards. * Implement safety protocols and best practices to minimize risks during field activities. Training and Handover: * Provide training to operational and maintenance staff on the proper use and maintenance of subway systems. * Assist in the smooth handover of systems to the operational phase, ensuring all stakeholders are adequately informed. Required Skills and Competencies * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. * Proven experience in commissioning and testing for complex infrastructure projects, with a focus on subway or transportation systems. * In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, controls, and automation. * Familiarity with testing equipment and tools used in commissioning processes. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field environment. * Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to commissioning and testing.
