Job Description General Summary: The Supply Chain Materials Senior Coordinator II performs a wide range of coordination activities supporting Vertex's materials supply chain. This role will be responsible for monitoring the site's ERP transactions and cycle count program within ERP systems throughout all VCGT locations. In addition, this role applies proficiency in established processes/procedures to execute upon production and inventory plans. This role is required to perform and document daily warehouse operations in a cGMP environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor the cycle count program, activities and results to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide updates to senior management Generate and report daily cycle count reports and investigate inventory discrepancy issues with the collaboration of the department's owners Leads research and documentation of inventory discrepancies Participate in both regulatory and internal/external financial audits and commitments Following cGMP procedures, retrieve documents from the document management system, complete cGMP documents using good documentation practices Ensure that the inventory quantities on hand are accurately stated and that any adjustments required are charged or credited on a timely basis Help to collect, audit, and prepare inventory transaction documents and reports Help to develop shipment schedule and prepare and transact all Clinical and Commercial product and sample shipments Audit ongoing transactions and reports entered for accuracy; correct discrepancies as needed and escalate results to the appropriate Finance and Operations team Lead all the daily ERP requests such as material transfers and production requests. Frequent contact with employees at all levels within the company Train less senior employees in supply chain basics Advise as needed on processes/procedures within the materials management department, including GMP raw materials, inventory control, cell bank storage, product shipments and ERP stability May represent Supply Chain department on assigned project sub-teams and/or task forces as a key support resource; may help execute supply chain production activities Contributes to draft production and inventory plans with guidance based on basic material requirements analysis in support of projects Knowledge and Skills: Experience in a supply chain, planning, or manufacturing role Experience in pharmaceutical industry Experience working in a cGMP environment Experienced in ERP transactions regarding cGMP raw materials, inventory control, shipment processing and reporting Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills to address atypical process/procedure deviations Ability to use a computer and knowledge of some Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must be proficient in the use of the inventory management system (ERP) and execute real time transactions such as material transfers, inventory reporting, inventory reconciliation/investigations, order shipping confirmations, and cycle counting Attention to detail when performing and verifying daily activities Knowledge of good documentation practices, ability to follow procedures as written, and train/mentor junior associates Education and Experience: High school or secondary school diploma Typically requires 4 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience LI-onsite LI-SV1 Company Information Vertex is a global biotechnology company that invests in scientific innovation.
