**WHO YOU ARE**

A guest's first impression of a property is the result of the Guest Services Representative's skills and abilities. You will provide a variety of guest services while working in the lobby or reception areas of the hotel. The position is challenging, varied and offers the opportunity to work flexible hours and to meet new people.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

* Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments

* Handle and coordinate room assignments and pre-arrivals

* Handle guests' concerns

* Offer referral for services and handle requests for information

* Handle and store luggage

* Assist with the check-in and check-out of groups and tours

* Assist other departments as required

Requirements **WHAT WE NEED**

**Education** - High school diploma or equivalent

**Experience and/or Training**

* Excellent communication skills and professional attitude

* Effective conflict management and decision making

**Technology/Equipment** - Ability to use a variety of computer applications

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

**Experience and/or Training** - Previous experience in customer service

**PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, and/or walk. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other department of the hotel on a timely basis, including stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while moving files or small packages. This position is also subject to irregular hours to include late nights, weekends and holidays.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

This position is in a hotel environment; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Individuals must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations as well as being able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
