Department Overview
Major Infrastructure Delivery is largely a field-based organization made up of over 11,000 coworkers and contractors that ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to approximately 16 million people throughout a 70,000 square-mile service area in northern and central California. The organization is accountable for the company's program to underground 10,000 miles of electric distribution lines to reduce wildfire risk, the System Inspection Program to identify potential risks to the safety and reliability of the system, and Vegetation Management to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity. The Quality Management team supports the Major Infrastructure Delivery organization to meet or exceed established operational targets, including compliance requirements, KPIs, budget, and risk reduction strategies that support the company's Purpose, Virtutes and Stands.
Position Summary
The purpose of the Performance Improvement job family is to develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process and performance improvements. Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data. Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced cost. Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes. Determines how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes. May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and reengineering, change management and measurement, process-driven systems requirements, and/or cost efficiency analysis and reporting.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the Bay Area
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
Bay Minimum: $102,000
Bay Maximum: $152,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities
Leads the Improvement Methodologies for process improvement which may include strategic planning and coordination of the program, team and project management, and reporting to Leadership with measurable outcomes.
Provide leadership for the Performance Improvement initiatives that supports quality management, quality controls, quality assurance
Acts as an internal consultant for all levels of the organization with expertise in facilitation, coaching, change management, and process improvement.
Provide strategic planning to align organizational goals with improvement initiatives and organization need.
Leads an education and awareness program for Performance Improvement tools and quality principles, deployment of the process, and communication planning.
Provide program management and technical expertise in the area of performance improvement. Able to drive business results.
Evaluate and recommend operational standards to the organization. Must be able to facilitate and train on performance improvement.
Coordinate performance improvement with focus on quality controls, quality assurance activity to ensure consistency, cohesiveness and sharing of best practices.
Flexibility with assignments that may be routine, administrative and complex non-routine problems that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions
Ability to manage & deal with wide range of issues with proposed alternatives and solutions
Receives broad direction from supervisor. Has the freedom to determine how to accomplish assignments
Demonstrates & promotes teamwork attitude while being nimble, flexible, accountable & ownership when working with functional groups and peers across PG&E organizations.
May coordinate the activities of others in or outside the department. May coach and develop less experienced coordinators and other employees
Support includes but not limited to improving communication strategies, establishing PMO structure and benchmarking activities by compiling information gathered.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Consulting/facilitating and/or project/program management experience, 5 years
Ability to travel using personal vehicle
Desired:
LSS-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Utility industry experience, Electric Operations
ASQ knowledge or certification
ISO9001-2015 knowledge or certification
Intermediate or above skills Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio) and other applications PowerApps, PowerBI
