WET’s completely vertically integrated fabrication and prototype capabilities allow designs to iterate quickly and transition smoothly to volume manufacture. Research-quality laboratories for optical, electrical, and material analysis allow the exploration of the boundaries of what is possible. Due to these capabilities, WET holds over 60 patents covering subjects as diverse as lighting, fluid dynamics, and robotics. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about mechanical engineering and interested in working with an elite team of subject matter experts on problems at the forefront of the field to create world-class experiences for all to see. The ideal candidate would be an experienced “senior level” engineer who’s worked on high-quality, multidisciplinary teams, be highly analytical, and be willing to solve unique challenges. Candidates should have a solid level of proficiency in the following areas: · 3-D CAD design (SolidWorks) · Design for manufacturing DFM/A · Familiarity with a broad range of manufacturing techniques (sheet metal fabrication, CNC, injection molded part design, etc) · Intuitive understanding of the physics underlying mechanical systems · Finite element analysis FEA Candidates preferably should also have knowledge of several of the following topics: · Dynamic mechatronic applications and systems · Gaskets and sealing practices · Thermal analysis and management · Combustion · Fluid dynamics · Hands-on experience building and prototyping parts using machine shop tools Interested candidates should ahave a BSME and/or MSME, with a minimum of five years (10 years preferred) of experience.
