We take inspiration from the Toyota Production System and the principles first elucidated by Shigeo Shingo and Taiichi Ohno.The Regulatory Quality Assurance Supervisoris responsible for maintaining safety and quality assurance programs to ensure superior quality and safety of our products. Responsibilities:Achieve Quality Assurance Operational ObjectivesContribute information and analysis to strategic plans and reviewsPrepare and complete action plansImplement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standardsIdentify and recommend resolutions to problemsComplete internal audits/inspections and participate in third party auditsDetermine system improvementsSupport change implementation - QCBD, Redzone, Food logic, Document compliance, tracegainsDevelop and Maintain Quality Assurance PlansConduct hazard analyses for HACCP plans, FSMA plans and raw materialsUpdate and develop programs, policies and proceduresUpdated and maintain GFSI documentation for BRC & SQFIdentify critical control points and preventive measuresRecommend critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions and verification proceduresValidate Quality ProcessesReview all approved supplier documentsComplete ingredient risk assessmentsComplete supplier risk assessmentsReview all production records to ensure quality and safety targets are metRecommend product specifications and quality attributesParticipate in projects that measure production & document evidenceDetermine operational and performance qualificationWrite and update food safety & quality assurance proceduresMaintains and improves product qualityComplete product, company, system, compliance and surveillance auditsInvestigate customer complaintsCollaborate with members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methodsPrepare quality documentation and reportsCollect, analyze and summarize information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions and re-validations.Update job knowledgeStudy trends and developments in quality assuranceParticipate in educational opportunitiesRead professional publicationsMaintain personal networksParticipate in professional organizationsEnhance department and organization reputationAccept ownership for accomplishing new and different requestsExplore opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsApprove FDA& USDA labelingCoverage for QA Supervisors, hold coordinator & labeling coordinator as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field and/or Formal training classes relevant to job.1 - 3 years experience in food manufacturing fieldSolid knowledge of Quality Assurance recordkeeping.Solid knowledge of food science and testing procedures.
