Duties and Responsibilities

•Hires and trains quality assurance staff.
•Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, handles coaching, disciplinary and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
•Oversees the daily workflow and schedules for the department including the review of new or modified application delivery (defects and enhancements) against requirements documentation, diagram, and flow charts, to determine if application will perform according to user request, conforms to departmental procedures and brand expectations.
•Communicates quality standards and parameters to the QA team, BA/PM Team, Development and UAT Teams.
•Develops, documents, and maintains functional test cases that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests and usability.
•Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content. Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential issues following established protocols.
•Facilitate and oversee the user acceptance process and community to identify test plans, scenarios and acceptance criteria for user stories and program modifications. Examines customer, business partner and user feedback, holding and facilitating test plan/case reviews, product demonstrations with cross-functional team members. Provides training of new features or design changes to ensure quality and application release schedules.
•Develop documentation to describe existing, new or modified features. Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance or completeness, or to mitigate risk.
•Achieve a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering on-time, high-quality products and services to all levels in the organization.
•Assign resources and ensure the quality assurance team meets expected timelines and deliverables.
•Maintains compliance with federal, state, local and Red Roof organizational laws, guidelines, and policies.
•Perform other duties, special projects and overall support as assigned by VP, Technology Governance.

Qualifications

•Bachelor's Degree in business management, information technology, computer science, software development or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•CSTE, CSQA, CAST or ISTQB Test Management, Technical and Test Analysis Certifications.
•3+ years of relevant QA technical experience: knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply knowledge and skills to a range of professional assignments
•2+ years project management experience
•Automation testing and script writing experience preferred
