Responsibilities:

The position will focus leading current and future radar system design and production. The position will support technology developments, technology insertions, prototyping and technology demonstrations in support of a mission critical and highly visible new program. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Performing complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, or sensor software development.
  • Provide supervisory experience sufficient to ensure positive direction/oversight of more junior engineers.
  • Experienced in formulating opinions, decisions and ultimate performance of the engineering tasks associated with the radar/sensor program/project.
  • Perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, computer or electronics engineering. Other acceptable majors include mathematics, computer science or physics.
  • A minimum of 15 years industry and/or DoD experience (12 years with accredited master's degree, 8 with an accredited Ph.D degree)
  • A minimum of active secret clearance and US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in radio frequency hardware design and/or fabrication
  • Knowledge of antenna engineering
  • Working knowledge of signal processing and electronic protection (counter-counter measures)
  • Experience and ability to perform detailed complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration
  • Program level engineering experience in major sensor systems
  • Capability in packaging and communicating data products for effective communication
