A highly-ranked critical access hospital in Eastern Colorado is seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacy Director to join its award-winning health care team. The Hospital Pharmacy Director will join an organization renowned for its 24/7 commitment to quality care, patient satisfaction, and patient safety. Acknowledged for excellence in providing exceptional and compassionate patient care, this organization has state-of-the-art equipment and provides a comprehensive range of services at this 25 Beds Critical Access facility that provides primary care, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. The Hospital Pharmacy Director will lead a dedicated team consisting of Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and support staff and have responsibilities within the pharmacy, such as providing pharmaceutical care for on-site patients, delivering high-quality patient care adhering to hospital standards, assisting in training when necessary, and ensuring fiscal responsibility to meet capital needs and stakeholder expectations. The Hospital Pharmacy Director will report to the COO, be supported by a small, tight-knit team, and will work with an interdisciplinary team. This individual will also play a vital role in ensuring safe medication use through tasks such as dispensing medications, providing clinical pharmacy services, educating patients, and collaborating with health care teams to optimize patient care. The Hospital Pharmacy Director provides administrative and clinical oversight for pharmacy services across Inpatient and Retail pharmacy operations. In this comprehensive role, the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with USP, DEA, OSHA, and State Pharmacy Board agencies. The ideal candidate is PharmD-prepared and has a few years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care setting.
