This individual is researching payroll tax laws on the federal, state, and local level; ensuring that applications are up to date and accurate They are also providing the specifications and supporting documentation for payroll tax changes for the development team to update their application/products This position is responsible for researching, identifying and interpreting payroll tax regulations and incorporating this information into the company’s products. Operate with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Perform duties under general directions from the Product Research Team Lead Identify and interpret payroll tax regulatory information Write detailed, plain language use cases and create corresponding mathematical worksheets for white papers, Product Requirements Documents, etc., as applicable Use advanced features of standard internal tools (such as batch tests and incident tracking) to effectively collaborate with other groups Respond to timeframes as dictated by SaaS service level agreements Interact with Customer Support, QA Support, Software Developers, Data Specialists and Business Analysts Maintain currency and the highest level of industry wide application knowledge to support the products Complete Customer research requests providing proper supporting documentation Keep abreast of legislative updates, for assigned authorities, that affect payroll/tax regulatory compliance Create Product update requests and maintain proper supporting documentation Perform project-related activities to assure that project, departmental and corporate goals are met Assist in training new team members and others needing Research assistance. Mentor junior team members Act as back-up for the Team Lead when requested Compensation: $84,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
