Job Title: Director of Transfer Center

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Summary:

Trusted Staffe is partnering with a leading community health network in Phoenix, AZ, to identify an experienced and visionary Director of Transfer Center. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and patient-centered transfers within the network's healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, a passion for patient care, and the ability to drive strategic growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the National Director to develop and implement strategic plans for Transfer Center growth and development.
    • Create innovative initiatives and outreach programs to optimize patient transfer processes.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Develop and maintain patient-centered Transfer Center protocols ensuring safe, timely, and EMTALA-compliant transfers.
    • Coordinate with the Transfer Center Manager to implement policies, procedures, and standards for efficient transfer coordination.
    • Oversee the 24/7 operation of the Transfer Center, ensuring optimal resource utilization and staff management.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Continuously assess, improve, and integrate department services and standards of care into the hospital's primary functions.
    • Monitor key performance indicators and implement data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the Transfer Center team.
    • Build strong relationships with hospital and community leaders to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to Transfer Center staff to promote professional development and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 5 years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting, including 3 years of supervisory experience.
    • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Preferred:
    • BSN or MSN degree.
    • Prior experience managing or directing a Transfer Center Program.
    • BLS certification.
