The Senior Coordinator, Grants is a critical member of the High Museum of Art's Development office, serving in multiple capacities, including project management, grant writing, grant reporting, prospect research, and donor communications.

WORK SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and some evenings/weekends

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

85% Supporting Associate Director of Foundation and Government Support
•Under the guidance of the Associate Director of Foundation and Government Support, solicit foundation and government funding for exhibitions, education programs, and special projects that advance the Museum's strategic goals;
•Write and submit high-quality grant proposals, including creating cover letters, LOIs, and effective funding requests as well as preparing budgets and other supplementary materials;
•Oversee reporting and tracking of grants, including preparing interim and final reports, reconciling budgets, managing the stewardship process, and working with departments throughout the Museum to ensure successful execution of related contractual requirements;
•Assist Museum leadership with the production of collateral materials as needed;
•Maintain donor credit lines for exhibitions and acquisitions;
•Ensure donor database records are up-to-date.

15% Development Fundraising Projects
•Attend and assist with donor events including exhibition opening receptions, Friends of the Collection groups, Wine Auction, and Circle/Director Circle previews;
•Assist department in prospect research and writing and creating fundraising communications for specific exhibitions and outreach programs;
•Assist with other departmental and fundraising projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must bring the following skills and experience:

Education and Experience:
•Minimum of 2-4 years of Development or grant writing experience at a non-profit organization/cultural institution;
•Ability to work collaboratively across Museum departments to complete projects;
•Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required;
•Proficiency in Tessitura or other fundraising (CRM) software preferred;
•Bachelor's degree required.

Skills and Abilities:
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills, reflecting clear, critical and creative thinking;
•Highly organized with strong attention to detail;
•Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects under the pressure of deadlines;
•Interest in art and/or museums.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
