Community-STARs Pediatric Therapy Specialists (C-STARs) is a privately-held, community-focused, pediatric therapy provider specializing in helping children with special needs achieve their full potential in a fun and loving environment, located in Central Virginia. To support this growth, we are adding new therapists to the team As a full-time, Pediatric Speech Therapist at C-STARS, you have the opportunity to practice in school-based, early intervention, and clinic settings. You must be able to see our clients’ strengths, what they can do and what they can become RESPONSIBILITIES: • Evaluate and utilize appropriate standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of speech and communication disorders • Develop new and modify existing IFSP, IEP and clinic goals • Establish treatment goals and implement age-appropriate plans of care • Perform daily documentation, update treatment plans, and produce regular progress reports • Update client progress to families, school staff and early intervention staff, as appropriate • Implement and keep current with evidence-based practices • Work with a team of dedicated therapists focusing on Making Everyday Differences in the lives of children and their families QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous experience in pediatric Speech-Language Pathology is preferred - Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply -Familiarity with communication, phonological, and oral motor disorders - Ability to build rapport with clients, their families/caregivers, and colleagues - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Positive, patient, and fun demeanor - Will absolutely consider CF - Excellent computer skills for documentation - Ability to work well in a dynamic clinic setting - Ability to work well one-on-one and with co-treatment scenarios BENEFITS: Flexible Scheduling Formal mentorship Earn Paid Time Off (PTO) monthly Earn CEU monies Quarterly in-services: Therapy in Practice (TiPs) Travel reimbursement Phone reimbursement Dental, Vision and Health insurance 401K matching for eligible employees Paid professional liability insurance Professional license renewal School-based Therapy and Resources (STARs) was established in 2009 with an emphasis on school-based and early intervention pediatric physical therapy services.
