The nature of field service work is achieving customer satisfaction through problem solving in a timely fashion.

Our Field Technicians perform inspection, repair and installation services on building material products used in residential and light commercial applications; such as doors and windows. They enjoy the freedom of being an Independent Contractor, the steady flow of work and the fact that they don't have to advertise, cold call or otherwise spend time obtaining the warranty work we provide. Our field techs know how to maintain their relationship with UTS; simply perform with exceptional results and the work will continue to come.

UTS Contractor Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with doors and/or windows; including installation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication
  • Ability to problem solve with the goal of completing the task on the first trip
  • Daily access to the internet and the ability to take digital photos; required to interact with the UTS field service web application (Insight)
  • Late model vehicle that is reliable, exudes a professional appearance and can transport full door units and window glass (or trailer)
  • Liability insurance with 1,000,000 minimum (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass a local, state and federal background check
