Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Johnson Controls International. This role will be responsible for managing the inventory levels in our warehouse, processing purchase orders, and ensuring that the warehouse is a safe and secure facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory levels in the warehouse, including tracking and following up with vendors and internal partners on expected receipts.
  • Process purchase orders to maintain inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is a safe, organized, and secure facility, and take immediate corrective action necessary to regain compliance when defaults are found.
  • Document transactions on equipment to and from various sub-inventories, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Pull and issue hardware as required for installation and service jobs.
  • Open and unpack shipments, verifying contents against packing slip and original order.
  • Deliver incoming material not assigned to the warehouse to its accurate destination and ensure that the inventory is accurate detailed into the appropriate sub-inventory.
  • Report shortages of material of any kind and may be required to take inventory of material at periodic intervals as directed.
  • Examine equipment returned from cancelled accounts to determine if the equipment should be repaired, replaced under warranty, returned to manufacturers for credit, or disposed within Johnson Controls Inc. guidelines.
  • Maintain control logs and copies of all invoice transactions for material procurement and material handling as per federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Operate hand trucks and other equipment per JCI EHS guidelines as needed.
  • May handle empty skids, pallets, and miscellaneous dunnage, and stack or store as required.
  • Use assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as detailed in JCI Safety guidelines to ensure safety remains the top priority.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Experience related to Customer Service, warehouse operations in large volume distribution center.
  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software.
  • Tech savvy is a plus.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional and polite communication skills needed.
  • Strong Organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate warehouse related equipment.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Valid driver's license.
